Roll 2 dice

Press Roll to throw two fair six-sided dice. DiceKit shows each die and the total, and keeps a history of recent rolls. With two dice, totals from 2 to 12 are not equally likely: 7 comes up most often (6 ways out of 36), while 2 and 12 have only one way each. The chart shows the full distribution, and you can set a target to see the chance of rolling at least that number.

How the rolls and odds work

DiceKit draws each die from your browser's cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues), using rejection sampling so no face is favoured. Nothing is sent anywhere. The odds are exact: plain dice are combined one at a time (a convolution of their distributions), and keep or drop rules are calculated by counting every possible combination. Only very large keep or drop pools are estimated by simulation, and the result says so.
